A childhood memory.
I got beautiful pajamas this Christmas, from Victoria’s Secret.
Long ago, I was seven years old, oldest of four girls. It was Christmas Eve, and Father has just walked two of us back home from sauna, the Big Girls. He returned to get Mother and the Little Girls. We would be safe by ourselves for ten minutes. Christmas tree was decorated sparsely. We were squeaky clean, ready for the gifts!
The door was left slightly ajar. All of the sudden, the neighbor’s black Karelian Bear Dog wiggled in.
We panicked and were screaming our heads off! The dog ran around and smelled places and we screamed. Mother and Father came in, and could barely separate us “Big Girls” from each other. I was so happy, that we did not DIE. Finally after we calmed down, the gifts were given out. All four of us got beautiful pajamas, each with a different Disney fairy tale figure on them. They were so beautiful and smelled so new. We forgot the entire dog episode!
Except, I’m still so scared of dogs, and I still love new pajamas.
