makro27/syksyn ruskea

SYKSYN ruskea on viikon makroväri. En tiedostanut syksyä heti aiheeksi, sillä meille ei ole vielä tullut syksyntunnelmaa ilmaan. Muutama harva lehti maassa, tuulen pyyhkäisemä. Joten teen toisen aiheesta vaatekaappini. Hah! Hauska paikka.

Teema extra: kaapillinen vaaleaa ruskeaa!

Ostin jokin aika sitten vakosameettifarkut, pehmeää beessiä, syksyksi. Kaapista kaivoin kuvaukseen vanhempia asusteita: neulepaitoja, laukkuja, kenkiä. Illalla kuvatessani, suklaa on vaihtunut vihertäväksi, bronssi harmaaksi, Eli voi olla, että menee vielä uusiksi tai poistan kokonaan. Tai annan olla! Hah!

Joko taas on makroviikot! Tarkoitus on kuvata joka viikko jokin kohde LÄHELTÄ!

Viikon aihe: RUSKEA. This week macro is something BROWN.

Mieleni tekisi niin kuvata suklaata, kun sitä kerran löytyisi, olen kuitenkin kuvannut sitä namua niin monta kertaa, että päädyn ruskeaan makro avaimeen. Kerron sen tarinan ehkä kahden viikon kuluttua! teemaextra on aiheeseen liittyvät lukot, kuvattu Italiassa.

Such temptations to take a picture of chocolate! Surprisingly we still have some in the house, untouched. But my choice is a brown key as macro and locks from Italy adjoining as extra challence.

Shopping, makes my day!

One.

Supermarket is unusually crowded. Must be a senior day. Old couples, mostly, slowly blocking the aisles with their long shopping lists. (I’m now  retired. A strange feeling, it took me long to make that decision. I could write an other story about that. But it is a great place to be.)

So here we are with senior citizens, my husband and I. We wander different directions occasionally, he is waiting on line at Deli counter, I pick up a California Sour from Bakery. As I approach him, an older man wearing a Harley Davidson tee-shirt is carrying a conversation with him. They laugh. As we go out I ask what it all was about. “He poked me on the arm and said, WOW she’s still good-looking!.”

Made my day!

Two

We in a department store. Looking for nothing, just had to get out of the house. And, OK, I had a 30% coupon. A woman about ten years younger than me stops to ask where the heck the ladies section is. “They always have to move their stuff around so we have to walk around I can’t lose any more weight even I had two liposuctions  and my back is welded at some points as well the tailbone and I had two heart attacks and barely made it we had seven foster children and now have seventeen grandchildren some living all the way in California the one there was born with hole in her heart but is now living a healthy and happy life so where was that section again?” I wanted to say, wow, you are one brave woman but did not get a chance.  My husband comes by and asks what the heck was that all about?

Made my day!

Three

A few years ago a garden center in town was closing. Great discounts but quite picked thru already. My daughter wants to go again. OK, I’m game as always when it comes to discounts of good stuff.  We looked at things that we earlier had combed thru but did not find them to be  discounted deeply enough then to purchase. Now, yes or no? Why not, makes great gifts! Picked up candles and kitchen towels and holiday decorations and flower pots and what-nots. Ribbons, wrapping paper…

The manager climbed up on a high ladder, calls for attention. “We will be closing in two hours! Anything you can fit into this apple bushel, will be 25 cents! Total! One per person!” Wow! Now it looked better! We went back to those expensive candle sticks, the bigger flower pots, little garden stands, door wreaths, more ribbons. Two bushels, total 54 cents with tax. Original prices totaled over $600.

Made our day!

VIIKON AIHE: MUISTO

Makroviikoilla on tarkoitus kuvata joka viikko jokin kohde LÄHELTÄ!

This week our topic on the macro challence is: A MEMORY.

“No me olvides! Maria del Perú.” She says, and standing next to me pulls out a slightly tattered silver ring from her hand and places it into my little finger. She is sweet, gentle woman, a new relative. The youngest of twelve children. Even when we don’t speak the same language, we feel kinship. “Do not forget me, Maria from Peru.” she smiles. I will not.

“Älä unohda minua! Mariaa Perusta.” hän sanoo minulle, ottaa hieman kolhiintuneen hopea sormuksen sormestaan ja pujottaa sen pikkusormeeni. Hän on herttainen, hymyilevä  uusi sukulaiseni. Nuorin kahdestatoista lapsesta. Vaikka emme puhukaan samaa kieltä, tunnemme yhteenkuuluvaisuutta. “No me olvides! Maria del Perú.” Ei, en unohda!

TEEMA haasteena makroon liityvät kuvat: Kolme pientä korurasiaa: posliinisen on äitini maalannut. Koivunlehti rasian on isä tuonut sodasta. Muistaakseni hän kertoi itse sen veistäneensä. Kolmas on anopiltani. Se oli täynnä paperiliittimiä, mutta tyhjentäessäni löysin sieltä platinasormuksen, joka oli  kadonnut kymmeniä vuosia sitten. Aarrearkkujani.

THEME part of this challence are three little jewelry boxes. The porcelain one is painted by my mother. The wooden, birchleaf one, my father brought home from the war. If I remember correct he made it himself. The third one is from my morther-in-law. It was filled with paper clips. When I emptied it, I found a platinum ring which she had lost years ago. My treasured treasure boxes.

Viiden värin kollaasi #48

Nyt olisi tarkoitus tehdä 3-5 värin kollaasi (jos mahdollista, käyttäen kaikki annetut värit, mutta ainakin kolme) ja sen lisäksi extrana kollaasin aiheena tulisi olla POSTIKORTTI:

Sanomattakin on selvää, että käymme kirkossa sitä ennen. Siitä greippimehun sisällöstä en ole niin varma!

Needless to say, we do go to the Church before that. I’m not 100% sure about the incredients of my grapefruit though!
